Work me to the BONE.

One thing people tell you (and they are not exaggerating) is that when you become an entrepreneur, you are going to have to work hard. Like, really, really, really, hard. Like to the point you have trouble ever turning it off. To the point that you are so passionate about your biz, that you go to family get togethers, and you realize you do not have anything to talk about anymore besides your hustle.

The truth is...your life IS all about your hustle. However, this is obviously not healthy to obsess about it in an unhealthy way. If you are type A like me and are kept up all night worrying if you did indeed email Susan back, you are not alone.

Today I did some mentoring with another fellow space owner. For 8 MONTHS she had been kept awake all night by one major problem- how to structure her office rentals. She could not find the answer any place she looked. Her legal team and her prospective clients are looking to her for answers, and she doesn't know how to make it make sense. 8 MONTHS of agony.

I am so glad she found me- we solved her issue in like 2 minutes. That being said- it is SO important to know that there are people out there that want you to succeed. They are willing to help you for free and give you a few minutes of their time. No. big. deal. Seriously.

Asking for help, is one of the hardest things to do as an entrepreneur. Let's face it. In this world, impostor syndrome is real life. Feeling like you are a fraud and you are not good enough, makes you feel like you have to fake it till you make it. And honey, it aint helping you one bit!

I recently had a legal issue come up with the business. We happen to have an amazing attorney that is a member here. I was a little nervous to ask her for advice because I know lawyers typically charge like $250/hr. I mentioned it to her, and she helped me for about a half hour and didn't charge me a dime. (THANK YOU SO MUCH ASHLEY! YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!)

You do not have to feel stupid or embarrassed for not knowing all of the answers. No one knows all the answers. You only are "stupid" if you are too self conscious to ask for help. Face your social anxiety, and get the help you need already.

The biggest part of this is knowing who to ask, and if you can trust them to give you the right information.

If you do not know where to start asking for help about your biz, come to Her Space. We have mentor hours that are open to anyone for FREE from 10am-12pm on Tuesdays.

I'll see you here next week!
