Five Ways to Stay Motivated

As entrepreneurs, it’s so easy to get overwhelmed with everything you have to get done. Sometimes I have days where I’m extremely productive and I’m motivated to get everything on my to-do list knocked out. But we all have days where there are things that need to get done but we don’t have the motivation to do them. That’s why I am sharing with you my five motivation tips for these unmotivated days!

1 . Have a dedicated space to work

Environment is everything. Find a quiet space that has enough room for your things.A specific place where there are few distractions is tremendously helpful. Dedicated work spaces help your brain distinguish between productive times, and unproductive times. I think we’ve all heard about how working from your bed, or your couch, can make it harder to sleep or relax. But, the reverse is also true, having leisure time in your workspace can make you less productive. If you aren’t able to find the right space for yourself, we’d always recommend coming to check out if Herspace would be a good fit for you!

2. Surround yourself with the right people

The company you keep is extremely important and it can have a really big impact on how well you’ll do on your task. If you’re in an environment where others are being productive you might be more inclined to do the same. Make sure to surround yourself with people who have similar goals as you, it’ll go a long way.

3. Set realistic goals for yourself

It is so important to set goals, whether they’re short or long-term. Setting goals can help you stay on track and keep you organized. But, make sure that they are realistic, that way you know for a fact they are achievable and won’t get overwhelmed. Breaking off small bite-size chunks from larger projects can make them seem much easier.

4. Take breaks

Sometimes you can get wrapped up with whatever task is at hand but don’t forget to take breaks! Taking breaks can keep you from getting overwhelmed and burning yourself out. Having a few breaks here and there might just be exactly what you need. A few ideas of what you can do during your break is going for a walk, going to work out or even just having a conversation with someone. The goal is to do anything that gets your mind off the tasks at hand for a little bit.

5. Visualize the end result

When you’re tired and don’t feel like you can continue think about why you started and how great it’ll feel once you’re done. All the hard work and time that was put in will be all worth it in the end. Use that as motivation to fuel yourself to keep on going on days when you don’t want to.

If you stick to these five things you just might find yourself achieving more and overall being more motivated. I hope these help you as much as they have helped me. Push through and don’t forget to remind yourself that you can do this!
